Ivanka Trump pushes womens’ progarmme at Munich Security Conference

MUNICH, GERMANY (FEBRUARY 16, 2019) (REUTERS) – U.S. First Daughter and White House Adviser Ivanka Trump%20Trump&redirect=yes"> met with IMF head Christine Lagarde on Saturday as the second day of the annual Munich Security Conference got underway.

Ivanka Trump%20Trump&redirect=yes"> is in Munich to promote her new global initiative to empower women – at a conference where the participants, security advisors and defense ministers, is mainly male.

Titled ‘The Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative,’ the project is aimed at helping women in the developing world.

Ivanka Trump%20Trump&redirect=yes"> has also worked with the World Bank and departing President Jim Yong Kim over the past two years, jointly launching a 1.6 billion USD women’s entrepreneurship fund with 13 other donor countries to raise capital for female entrepreneurs in developing countries.
