Martha Hunt ‘puffs’ up for Victoria’s Secret

The model tries on her look for the brand’s annual fashion show.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (Reuters) – Victoria’s Secret Angel Martha Hunt was overwhelmed when she saw the custom ‘puffer wing’ created for the company’s annual fashion show.

“That will be my closing moment which I’m very excited about. It’s a very dramatic puffer wing which I’ve never seen before. They’re really getting creative with the wings over here,” said Hunt.

The American model was given the honor of closing out the sport segment of the show, which was revealed to her during a fitting on October 30th.

“To close out a section is just such an honor because it means you’re the final one walking on the runway during that section. So, it means all eyes on you and the performer for that part of the show.”

The U.S. brand held its first runway presentation in 1996 during Men’s fashion week and has since grown to a global event with 60 models walking the show this year.

Executive producer Monica Mitro said continuing to create a visual unique show is challenging each year.

“Doing a lingerie fashion show is very different from any other show because it’s fashion on top of lingerie. And now lingerie has become outerwear so it’s almost – you know, innerwear is outwear and a lot of other designers and brands are doing lingerie.”

The show will air on U.S. network ABC on December 2nd.
