Obama versus Trump on jobs

CHAMPAIGN-URBANA, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES (SEPTEMBER 7, 2018) (RESTRICTED POOL)- Former U.S. president Barack Obama returned to the campaign trail Friday where he assailed President Donald Trump and Republicans, urging Democrats to deliver a vital check on their abuses of power.

Trump at a campaign event in North Dakota countered that he heard the speech and said “he fell asleep” listening to it.

Each took credit for a rebound in American jobs.

Both parties are urging their core supporters to get to the polls for the Nov. 6 midterm elections, when Democrats need to pick up 23 seats in the House of Representatives and two seats in the Senate to gain majorities in Congress and slam the brakes on Trump’s agenda.
