WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES (Reuters) – White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders on Monday (March 11), in her first press briefing since January 28th, was grilled by reporters over a report from Axios that alleged President Donald Trump, during a closed-door meeting, told Republican donors “the Democrats hate Jewish people.”

Last month, Trump had said Democratic lawmaker Ilhan Omar should resign over her tweets that critics said suggested Jewish Americans used money to influence pro-Israel U.S. policies. She later apologized for her comments.
